Contemplative Service
On the third Sat. of each month (7pm) we feature Taizé-styled music, silence and meditations from Scripture or from various spiritual writers at this monthly Communion service. For more information please contact Rob at imago@shaw.ca.
Fairview Choir
Our choir meets for rehearsal each Sunday morning at 9:30am. Besides preparing anthems and choral pieces for our morning service the choir also performs at special events as well as at various hospitals or care facilities. For more information please contact Susan at sdp@interchange.ubc.ca
Fairview Orchestra/ Celtic Group
On our Communion Sundays our hymns are accompanied by a small orchestra of string and wind players of all ages. This group also performs at special events. From the orchestra we have also created a lively Celtic Folk Group which performs jigs and reels at our Coffee House, our picnics, our art exhibit openings and any other special event we can come up with. Fairview Coffee Houses
Our quarterly Coffee House are always a big hit. Featuring both an open mic as well as sing-along, these events also provide an opportunity for raising funds for various projects we support by selling baked goods during the evening. Fairview Art Sessions
A weekly and informal drop-in painting session meets on Saturday mornings from 10am-1pm. Though mostly self-directed, the group also invites professional artists and teachers at times to share their expertise with us.
